its not so much the getting in that worries me but the getting home.

Seana working tonight so we are getting picked up from my mums in witham at about 9.30pm tonight, then for a scary slow drive back down the A12 and frozen back roads. horrah!

My school is shutting at 1.30 and not opening Friday.

Sensible decision considering the state of the roads over here.

Managed to fight my way into work this morning (45min walk in the snow). Uni really should be shut imho.

My Mum, Dad, Aunt and Uncle are all stuck in Denmark at the moment. Were due to fly back Friday afternoon from Copenhagen, but easyjet cancelled and put them up in a hotel overnight. Saturday gave them the news that they don't rebook flights and they would need to make their own arrangements. They managed to rebook using an airport net connection for the next available flight, Sunday at 6pm and had to spend the night sleeping on the airport floor! Sunday morning Easyjet announce no flights again (despite UK news saying Stansted is open).
They have now booked a ferry crossing for Tuesday afternoon from Esp .. something and fingers crossed should arrive in Harwich at 12pm Wednesday. They then need to get to Colchester, pick up a car and then back to Stansted to collect the other car and then back to Colchester.

Gaz if you are still intending to travel to Devon please please please take the utmost care and planning (ie pack shit loads of extra stuff in the car incase you get stuck in the car).

I am just reading on the BBC website that the M5 in Somerset is very bad with people abandoning cars. Also the Met office have issue a sever weather warning for the South West http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_warnings.html?day=1

Not wanting to spoil you xmas with the inlaws or anything but am just concerned, am sure you are in touch with them about it and the conditions down there, but driving 400 miles in this just scares me and I have to raise my concern as you are a good friend.

Stay safe, what ever you do.

J.

Compare it to the met office, they are both different, just wait and see is the best bet.
